Beissier was created in Paris (France) in the early 19th century under the name ‘Buisson Aîné’. At that time it was a small gelatine manufacturing business. Acquired in 1872 by Mr. Hector Beissier, the company then took his name.
Business acquired by the Sion family and the start of major expansion into the field of adhesives, plaster and paints, namely in primers and matt paints for ceilings.
Branch created in Spain, also under the name Beissier.
Beissier becomes the first manufacturer in France to introduce the concept of powdered plaster.
Beissier joins the Dyckerhoff group, acquires the BAGAR business from the FREITAG company, develops its range and becomes the leading French supplier of sprayable paste plaster.
Beissier acquires the PRESTONETT business from the AGED company and becomes the leading supplier of manual plasters in the Paris – Ile de France region.
Beissier receives ISO 9001 certification and acquires the SRS companies (epoxy and polyurethane resins) and Sopro (ceramic tile adhesives).
The business joins the Sto AG group, continues the Beissier name and establishes its head office at the La Chapelle-La-Reine site.
